So, In light of the most recent government guidance, we’ve broken down exactly what you need to do in order to be eligible to travel.

1. Before you depart from the UK…
- Check the entry requirements of the country you are travelling to

- If you are travelling to an Amber country, book your day 8 test for when you return
All travellers returning from countries on the Amber list are required to take a test on day 8 after your arrival into the UK. However, if you can’t wait that long, you can also book a day 5 test. If your day 5 test comes back as negative, you will be free to end your quarantine period 3 days early. However, you still be required to take a test on day 8, regardless of your day 5 test result.

2. Take a return to UK test 3 days before your return flight
If you’re aged 11 or over, you need to take a Covid-19 test within the three days prior to flying to the UK. This test could be a PCR, rapid antigen test (RAT), or LAMP – but cannot be one of the free NHS tests. Even if you have been vaccinated, all travellers are required to provide proof of their negative test result via a digital or paper certificate from your test provider before boarding your UK-bound flight.

3. Fill out a UK passenger locator form
It is essential that all travellers aged 18 or over completes one of these online forms in the 48 hours before arriving in the UK. Fill in your UK passenger locator form.
4. When travelling…
- Remember to wear your face mask
All travellers aged 6 years or over must wear a face mask at all times in the airport and onboard flights. So, make sure to pack enough face masks to cover you for both journeys.
- Keep your documents handy
Before boarding your flight, you will be asked to show your negative COVID-19 test certificate and your UK passenger locator form. Therefore, it’s extremely important to keep any hard copies in your hand luggage for easy access.
