This referral applies to allegations or concerns raised about a person, whether an employee, volunteer or student, paid or unpaid who works with or cares for adults with care and support needs. These individuals are known as People in Position of Trust (PiPoT) and the process is the Position of Trust (PiPoT) process.

Occupational Health
Support is available from Occupational Health services and the Case Manager can refer you if you required.

NHS Practitioner Health Service
The NHS Practitioner Health Service supports mental health, including stress. This is not an Occupational Health service, it is a treatment service and is offered to dentists and optometrists as well as GPs.

GPs who are currently supported by NHS Mental Health services would be encouraged to remain with their local treatment team, but could seek guidance on particular aspects of care, or support, for return to work."

The Cameron Fund
