Our new Instant HIV test can give you the result within 1 minute and whilst other test results typically
within 2-3 days. In contrast, receiving results from the NHS or your local GP can take up to 2 weeks.

Most of our sexual health tests are done through a simple blood or urine sample and we rarely now need to
perform intimate or painful examinations for screening purposes.

Why The HIV Test and STI / STD Screening Is Important:
If you are sexually active, worried about HIV or other STDs and want peace of mind, we strongly
recommend you get a complete STD screen or an HIV test at our Liverpool or Wirral Sexual Health Clinics.
These STD screens include tests for many sexually transmitted diseases and results are available quickly. In
most cases, a Basic STD screen is sufficient but if there are visible lesions or warts on your genitals, mouth
or anus, you should consider tests for Herpes and Genital Warts.

There are four basic kinds of HIV tests we do here in Liverpool, depending on when you may have been
exposed. There is a 90 day HIV test (if you have been exposed more than 90 days before your HIV test), a
28 day HIV test (for exposure 28 days before your HIV test) and a 10 day HIV test (for exposure 10 days

If you need an HIV test certificate for a business visa or tourist visa, our clinics can provide you with one.
For example, some Russian and Saudi visas require you receive an HIV test certificate before being allowed
entry into the country. In most cases, we can provide you with an HIV test certificate same day and in
Liverpool.
